mARKETING oUTREACH sTRATEGIST
Part-time -20 Hrs./week

  • Supports the events committee with administrative and marketing support.

  • Primary Networking and Event Representative at Job Fairs, Networking events, business summits or conferences, and any presence requested to support the community

  • Social Media content creation and management.

  • Advertising and communicating events, promotions, resources and support services through our social media platforms.

  • Supporting the marketing team with marketing activities by demonstrating expertise in various areas, including optimization, advertising, social media, direct marketing, and event planning.

  • Create newsletters and communications to our membership and community partners.

  • May support website editing from time to time.

  • Take part in brainstorming sessions, offering analytical insights to develop and plan creative marketing campaigns that increase brand awareness.

  • Assist in the execution of marketing plans to reach the target audience through identified channels.

  • Create, maintain, and distribute monthly marketing reports showing the achievement of critical metrics regarding lead generation, content creation, website traffic, and other KPIs.

  • Manage marketing committee and team in the development and execution of marketing campaigns, including content creation, new services launch, and social media.

  • Supports the Marketing efforts with design brochures, flyers, and marketing materials as needed for entrepreneur navigation services.  (Partners at Idaho Connect create content)

  • Creates builds, and designs, flyers, brochures, marketing materials, and social media content for workforce navigation services primarily, will support education and housing navigation services along with events as needed.   

  • Other duties as assigned.

eNTREPRENEUR NAVIGATION SPECIALIST (NAVIGATOR)
Part-time -20 Hrs./week

  • Navigates the pathway toward business resources either within the IDVCC or with partnerships built with other organizations, agencies, and installations that support business ownership in Idaho.

  • Supports facilitation of presentations, workshops, or support conferences and job fairs to promote services provided to both employers and job seekers.

  • Track and report on interactions, steps taken, and services provided to both the Idaho agencies and organizations and the business owner in the customer relationship database (HubSpot).

  • Work closely with the Community Outreach Director in managing navigation services provided through the initial request of services through steps taken to provide resources and support and continued to follow up through the navigation process.

  • Track client experience and success rates for grant monitoring purposes.

  • May support business owners in building business plans, funding, operating expenses, marketing, legal, HR, and other areas to assist with startup, growth, and/or scaling.  

  • Will establish action plans and pathways for building or growing their business

  • Maintain records and supporting documentation of all clients and report to Community Outreach Director across multiple client database platforms.

  • Works with Marketing Strategist to continuously promote opportunities for the IDVCC veteran and spouse business owner navigation services through social media and marketing platforms.

  • Manage client processes and workflows through continuous improvement practices as the organization builds and grows the mission and navigation service lines.

WORKFORCE nAVIGATION SPECIALIST (nAVIGATOR)
Part-time - 16-20 H
rs./week

  • Navigates the pathway toward successful career placement by looking at an individual's education level, work history, and interests to suggest potential career paths and set career goals for their clients.

  • Navigate career seekers towards employers, career preparation partners, and education opportunities to enhance career placement success.  

  • Match transitioning military members and their families with employment opportunities.

  • Facilitate the delivery of presentations, workshops, or support conferences and job fairs to promote services provided to both employers and job seekers.

  • Track and report on interactions, steps taken, and services provided to both employers and job seekers in the customer relationship database (HubSpot).

  • Work closely with the Community Outreach Director in managing navigation services provided through initial request of services through steps taken to provide resources and support and continued follow up through the navigation process.

  • Track client experience and success rates for grant monitoring purposes through CRM data management

  • Refer and Navigate career seekers to services in community provided for review in resume/cover letter and LinkedIn profile, preparation for interviews, administering aptitude and skills-based assessments, and support with the application process for career opportunities leading to successful job placement.

  • Will establish career plans and pathways during their search for the right employer that matches the skills and desires of the job seeker through introductions, job search techniques, and networking opportunities to gain entry into the workforce.

  • Create and continuously promote job seekers qualifications and those searching for work through social media and virtual communications platforms.

We serve all veteran and military service members, spouses, and dependents that will serve as a collaboration space connecting them further into the community and/or with other Veteran Service Organizations.

 

These positions report to the Community Outreach and Project Director. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented, energetic, self-disciplined, and tenacious veteran ambassador with a clear understanding of the needs of veterans and their family members within the community on a cultural, social, and economic level.

 

He or she will have demonstrated effective communications skills, good time management, personal accountability, understanding and participation in process improvement, and interpersonal skills to support the 5 core navigation services the chamber provides to all veterans, military serving, their family members, and community partners working with a primarily remote team.

  • Must have a remote office space that is free from distractions, clutter, and high-speed internet for virtual meeting platforms.
